Plate Conditioning
After removal of any imperfection preparatory to welding the thickness of the plate at any location must not be reduced by more than 20% of the nominal thcikness of the nominal thickness of the plate.
Test Reports
1.When test reports are required by the purchase order,the report shall the results of each test required by Sections7 and 8,except that the results of onlt one set of tests need be repirted when the amount of material from a heat in a shipment is less than 10 tons[9 Mg] and when the thickness variations decribed in Section 8 are not exceeded.
2.The thickness of the product tested mat not necessarily be the same as an individual ordered thickness since it is the heat that is tested rather than each ordered item.
Marking
1.Plates produced to a normalized heat treatment condition shall be marked with the suffix N to indicate that the plates have been normalized.
2.Plates produces to a control rolled condition shall be marked with the suffix CR to indicate that the plates have been control rolled.
3.Plates priduced to a thermo-mechanical control processed condition shall be marked with the suffix TM to indicate taht the plates have been thermo-mechanical control processed.
4.Plates produced to a quenched and tempered heat threatment condition shall be marked with the suffix QT to indicate that the plates have beem quenched and tempered.
